Wilva Jean Miller, a cherished wife, loving mother, and adored grandmother, passed away on December 18, 2023 at Andy's House Hospice in Port Carling, ON. She was born on January 17, 1936, in Bracebridge, ON.
Wilva led a remarkable life filled with love, kindness, and dedication. She touched the hearts of many through her various roles and her vibrant personality. In her younger years, she was an avid snowmobiler, finding joy and excitement in the winter landscapes. Wilva also dedicated over 40 years of her life as a Brown Owl Girl Guides Leader, shaping the lives of countless young individuals with her wisdom and guidance. In her later years, she was often found with her nose in a novel or watching her favourite tv show "Murder She Wrote," showing her passion for storytelling.
Family was at the core of Wilva's life. She was the beloved wife of the late George Miller (2009), sharing a bond that transcended time. As a loving mother to William and Michael, Wilva's nurturing spirit and endless love enriched their lives beyond measure. Her presence as a cherished grandmother to Cyrus brought light and laughter to their family gatherings.
A Celebration of Wilva's Life will be held on June 22, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Gravenhurst Senior Centre located at 480 First St North, Gravenhurst ON P1P1B9. The event will honor and remember Wilva's legacy with fondness and respect.
