Valerie DeCaire

Passed away suddenly in Parry Sound on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the age of 68. Valerie was born in Bracebridge, Ontario, on September 14, 1956.

Beloved wife of Randy DeCaire for 45 years. Loving mother of Jay DeCaire. Cherished sister of Andy Berry and Judy Berry, and predeceased by her brother William Berry. Dear aunt to Will Berry, Jenna Gillian, and Matt Gillian.

Valerie is also lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law Vern DeCaire and sister-in-law Ina DeCaire.

Valerie was known for her kind and generous spirit. She never hesitated to lend a hand or share a smile, and her warmth and positivity brightened every room she entered. She and Randy made their home on Wahta in 2000, where she bravely launched and operated FRMC, a business she poured her heart into.

In 2018, Valerie retired after being diagnosed with cancer, but continued to live each day with courage and a radiant smile. Over the last seven years, she faced her illness with unwavering strength and grace, always bringing comfort and joy to those around her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A funeral service will be held at Wahta United Church on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Wahta Mohawk Cemetery.
