Former owner of Tom Edwards Real Estate, Bala, ON Veteran of WWII and Member of Royal Canadian Legion Br. 424 Bala Died peacefully on Friday, February 8th, 2013 at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge in his 91st year. Devoted and loving husband of Isabel (nee Menzies) who predeceased her husband on June 3rd, 2011. Loving father Don (Linda) of Waterloo, Paul (Mary Anne) of Burlington, Keith (Tammy Majander) of Bala, George (Penney) of Bracebridge and Christopher of Gravenhurst. Tom will be dearly missed by his only surviving sister Alice Chisholm of Bracebridge. Proud grandfather of Lindsey (Tom Mortimer), Cavan, Chris (Kristy) Michelle, Heather (Stuart), Stefan, Justin, Cameron, Rebecca, Elisabeth and Lauren. Tom recently welcomed his first great-grandchild, a little girl named Savannah. Fondly remembered by Jennifer Meek and Leanne Edwards and by his sister-in-law Jean Koning. Predeceased by his brothers Charles and Alfred (and Alfred's wife Audrey). Friends will be received at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, 215-1 Bay Street, Gravenhurst (705) 687-3242 on Friday, February 15th, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bala Community Centre, 1008 Maple St, Bala, ON P0C 1A0. Interment at Glen Orchard Cemetery in the Spring.
