Thelma Hess

Thelma Irene Hess (Rayner), age 94, of Gravenhurst passed away Wednesday, April 6th at Bracebridge Hospital with her loving family at her bedside.
She was born on August 16, 1927 in Kildare, Prince Edward Island, a daughter of the late Melvin Scott Rayner and Elizabeth Rayner (Jones).
Thelma was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 64 years, Karl Francis Hess and her granddaughter Katie Rose.  Loving mother of Brian (Yvonne), David, Paul (Pauline) and Elizabeth (Mark).  Beloved grandmother to Erin (Mike), Mary, Karl (Jiasi), Douglas, Lia (Amanda), Paul Jr. (Bobby),Marian (Yousef),Marc (Dara), Kylie, Amelia (Steven), and Sally.  Thelma adored her great grandchildren Payton, Lucian, Eva, Ellie, Frankie, and Harlow.
Thelma lived for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Her love was flawless, never ending, and unbiased.  She was most happiest when she was caring for her family, from cooking, cleaning, playing a game of tag, or rubbing out growing pains.  She had an eye for antique's, treasures, and rare finds.  She grew up in the depression and had the ability to make something from nothing.  She will be dearly missed by her family whose only comfort can be found in the many cherished memories they share and knowing that she is with the love of her life once again.
