Terrance “Terry” Brent Linders passed away at home in Gravenhurst on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 71.
Terry is survived by his brothers Hank, Bill (Charlotte), and Wray (Toni). Although Terry never had children of his own, he had the honour of becoming “Uncle Terry” to his nieces and nephews, Tammy (Peter), and Bill Jr. (Elizabeth), Shelley . He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, Brianne, Wyatt, and Ethan, Clayton and Davidson.
Terry was a determined and strong-minded man; he could do anything he set his mind to. He suffered a snowmobile accident in 1995 which left him paraplegic. This didn’t stop him from making the most of the almost 30 more years of his life. His wheelchair never slowed him down. Terry had a passion for building and creating things. He spent years fabricating and building motorcycles, as well as perusing his career at T & L Welding. He spent many years riding his trike motorcycle, which he built himself. His trike gave him the freedom to move wherever he wanted to go. He enjoyed drag racing, and he frequently travelled to his home in Florida. He was also dedicated to playing pool with his friends every Friday night.
Terry’s memory will forever be cherished by all of those who knew him. He led a life full of adventure and fun and proved again and again that nothing would stop that. He was an admirable man who will be remembered for his good work ethic and his ability to truly make the most out of any situation, that some would think is impossible.
As per Terry’s wishes, no formal service will be held. If desired, memorial donations made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family, and may be arranged online, or through Cavill Funeral Home.
