ELLIS, Edwin Bruce “Ted”

September 1938 – April 2021

Born in Delmer, Ontario to Keith and Elsie (nee Dodsley). Survived and dearly missed by his wife of 60 years Elaine (nee Smith) and by his sister Shirley Burwell. Predeceased by his brother Ron Ellis. Ted is survived and sadly missed by Shirley’s children Chris, Randy, Anna, and their families. and Ron’s children Kirby & Kerry. Ted will be missed by his “special family” Barbara Lynn, Lori, Mary Ellen, Patrick, and Deanna who adopted him in 1990.

He learned auto, farm, and small engine mechanics from his father in Delmer. He worked as a mechanic in several service stations in London, Ontario before moving to Port Carling in 1974. He honed his skills to become a marine mechanic and snow mobile mechanic and serviced Port Carling & MacTier area, until retiring in 1998.

He was a very social person who enjoyed meeting new friends through camping, snowmobiling, boating and travelling by car around North America. He will be missed by so many.
