Sheila Marion Argue

ARGUE, Sheila Marion (Goodfellow) - Passed away in Newmarket, Ontario, on Monday, January 20, 2025, in her 90th year. Sheila was the beloved wife of the late Paul Edward Argue (2022). Loving mother of Teresa Hannigan (Richard), Collette Yvonne (Peter McKeracher), John Argue (Elisa), and Gerry Argue (Melissa). Cherished grandmother of Scott Hannigan (Caitlin Dacey), Dylan Hannigan, Liam McKeracher (Kristen), Colleen McKeracher (Nicholas O’Gorman), Alexander McKeracher, Bryn Argue, Mitchell Argue, and Ethan Argue. 

Great grandmother of Genevieve Hannigan, Rory Hannigan and Roan O'Gorman. Dear sister of Donna Procher (Michael), and the late Gerry Goodfellow (Margaret).

Sheila was warm, loving and accepting of everyone. She was a wonderful cook and a fabulous organizer, able to host both formal dinner parties for dozens or small casual get-togethers with the many friends she and Paul made in 67 years of marriage. Together, they moved over 30 times yet maintained deep and lasting connections with family and friends. Among her many and varied interests, Sheila enjoyed reading and Scottish dancing. She had a ready, easy smile which she generously shared. She dearly loved her family. 

A visitation will be held at Cavill Funeral Home on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on January 25, 2025, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Gravenhurst, ON with a reception to follow in the church hall. Interment of cremated remains will take place later at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa, ON.
