Shannon Newton Allen

On Good Friday, April 15, 2022 , 36 year old Shannon Newton Allen of Port Perry passed away at the home she shared with her mother, Nancy Newton, in Gravenhurst.

Her youthful passing leaves us with profound feelings of sadness and loss.

Shannon was born on June 3, 1985 in Toronto. She moved with her family; mother, Nan Newton ; father Don Allen ; 2 older sisters Robyn and Hayley , to Port in 1988. Growing up in PORT, Shannon attended R.H.Cornish and Port Perry High School. She loved Port and the friendships she formed there. She also loved Muskoka; the cottage life; the outdoors, especially her grandmother's cottage,on the water which reinforced her love of swimming and nature.

Growing up Shannon was very shy with people but not with animals and family photo albums and phones abound with pictures of Shannon and her pets. Her gleeful glance, her mischievous smile, her keen sense of humour and her wonderful laugh which often made her the life of the party are now forever the things of memories, letters, photographs, posts, texts and attachments.

Shannon was and is dearly loved, is and will be deeply mourned and truly missed. God bless you "darlin" rest in peace.

A private family funeral will be held at the Cavill Funeral Home in Gravenhurst.
