Ronald Stanley Whipp . Passed away at RVH in Barrie on April 26, 2022 at the age of 85. Ronald was born in Toronto, the eldest of four children to Hilda and Albert Whipp. Loving brother to Joan (late Frank) Forward, Robert (Carol) Whipp, and the late Margaret (Jack) Hunt. He met the love of his life at the age of 15, 14 year old Joyce (nee Keats). They were married October 20th, 1955 and lived in various locations around Toronto before settling in Muskoka, where he built their house. They raised five children: Mark (Shelby) Whipp, Karen (Dennis) Harbridge, Stephen (Joanne) Whipp, Denise (late Terry) Morrison, Tyler (Dawna) Whipp. He was a loving grandfather to Adam, Erin (Blake), Danielle (Joel), Nathan, Tiffany (Kenny), Ashley (John), Nathaniel (Lindsey), Crystal, Kaitlin (Dan), Brandie (Chris), Amber (Ricky), Coral (Mitch), Jennifer, Justin (Sara), and great grandfather to Leland, Mason, Addison, Chael, Finn, Wren, Tristan, Natalie, Austin, Emma, Morgan, Waylon, Dylan, Austin, Ethan, Owen, Chase, Luca, and Lexxi, Haidyn, Kaidence. At the age of 16, he started training as a steel-rule die maker, which became his career until he retired at the age of 59. Ron and Joyce enjoyed travelling to visit family in California, and wintering for many years in Florida. Family was very important to Ron, and he loved large family gatherings.
A Celebration of Life for Ronald Will be held on June 11, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Gravenhurst
