Tompkins, Rita Mary (nee Barnes) Peacefully at the Leisureworld Muskoka Nursing Home in Gravenhurst on Wednesday May 9, 2012 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late David Tompkins. Loving mother to; Murray Tompkins of Bracebridge, Dennis (Patricia) Tompkins of Burks Falls, Lynda O"Hare (Cliff Wichman) of Gravenhurst, Warren Tompkins of Bracebridge, Lorita Tompkins (Cheryl Lemke), Jeffery Tompkins of Kitchener, Jennifer Tompkins of Orillia, Shirlene (Richard) Vincent of Gravenhurst, Beverley Tompkins of Bracebridge and Phillip Tompkins of Kitchener. Rita is predeceased by her two sons Arthur and Stanley Tompkins. Loving grandmother to several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home at 215-1 Bay St in Gravenhurst on Friday May 11, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In memory of Rita, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Residents and Council at Leisureworld Muskoka Nursing Home in Gravenhurst would be truly appreciated by the family.
