Richard Roger Niemi

Richard Roger Niemi, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Monday, May 20,2024, at Mississauga Hospital. He was in his 70th year.
 
Richard was known for his very loving and kind personality that touched the lives of many. His presence brought warmth to those around him, much like the systems he worked on diligently throughout his career as a gas fitter.
 
In addition to his successful career, Richard had a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. From fishing and enjoying the great outdoors to engaging in friendly card games like euchre and pool, where he serendipitously met Marilyn, the love of his life at a pool tournament. His passion for dancing and spending quality time with family and friends truly showcased his vibrant spirit.
 
Richard is survived by his Common-law Wife Marilyn Keatley, who shared many wonderful memories with him. He also leaves behind three children, 14 grandchildren, and two brothers who will forever cherish the moments they spent together.
 
Richard Roger Niemi's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing he made a positive impact on those around him.
