MITCHELL, Ralph Edward, 96, of Bracebridge, died on November 19, 2018, at the South Memorial Muskoka Hospital, after a severe stroke on November 15. Ralph was born in England, April 21, 1922. After graduating from London University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, he was later awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Institute of Chemistry of Great Britain and Ireland. After his marriage to Gwen, a good companion for many years, he moved to Montreal, Waterloo and Muskoka. After his wife's death, he retired.
As well as his tenacious nature to achieve all that was of interest to him, Ralph was also a kind, humorous and humble man, well-loved and respected by his family and friends. He greatly enjoyed playing duplicate bridge, golf, pool, and developing his skills at the piano. At 90 years old, he fell in love, and lived his last 6 years happily in Huntsville and Bracebridge with his spouse Pamela and her family.
At Ralph's request, there will be no visitation and no service. If you care to send a donation, it would be greatly appreciated. Expressions of sympathy can be donated to the South Memorial Muskoka Hospital in Bracebridge. Personal condolences may be offered at www.cavillfuneralhome.com
