Ragna Day

Day, Ragna Matilda (nee Husselstrom) (Veteran of WWII Royal Canadian Air Force Women's Division) Peacefully at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in her 98th year. Ragna Matilda Day beloved wife of the late Jack Day. Beloved mother to George Day (Wendy Lynwood) of Victoria, B. C. and Donna Day (late Stephen Black) of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Beloved grandmother to Iyko Day and Jack Day and great grandmother to Tei and Cooper Day. Ragna will be dearly missed by her only surviving sister Olive (Ron) Cooper of Gravenhurst. Predeceased by her siblings: Verna Davie, Thelma Husselstrom, Julia Myers and Carl Husselstrom. Ragna will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and by her brother in law Jack Davie of Gravenhurst. The Day family wishes to thank Pat and Vince Loureiro and their sons Colin and Michael for not only the care and support that they offered Ragna but also for being such thoughtful and caring neighbours. The family will receive friends at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, Gravenhurst on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 10:00 a. m. until time of service in the chapel at 11:00 a. m. Interment will take place at Mickle Memorial Cemetery, Gravenhurst. In memory of Ragna, donations to the Muskoka Branch of the OSPCA, 1234 Muskoka Rd. Hwy. #118 W, Box 2804, Bracebridge, Ont.
