Patricia Elizabeth May Wright

Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling, Ontario, at the age of 91.

Beloved wife of the late Raymond Wright. Loving mother to Kathy Yewman and Debbie Bennett. Cherished grandmother of Matthew Bennett (Emma) and proud great-grandmother of Riley and Bryce. Patricia will be fondly remembered by her sister, Lynne Cummings.

She is predeceased by her siblings John Erwin, Hugh Erwin, Lorna Jarvis, Joan Steinbach, and Jean Gillis.

Patricia was educated at Northern Secondary School, Toronto, and went on to enjoy a 34-year career at the Royal Bank of Canada, where she worked as an Executive Secretary at the head office. She retired early at the age of 55 and settled in Gravenhurst, where she remained active in the community by volunteering and working at the Gravenhurst Seniors’ Centre, as well as giving her time to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.

In her earlier years, Patricia enjoyed knitting and was known for her strong work ethic — often working at the expense of a social life. However, nothing brought her more joy than her great-grandchildren. Riley and Bryce were her light and inspiration; it was their love that gave her the strength to keep going.

Memorial contributions to Andy’s House Hospice Muskoka would be greatly appreciated by the family.
