Muriel Fitchett

Fitchett, Muriel Eileen (nee Barnes) Peacefully at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge, Ontario on Sunday, January 5, 2014. Muriel Eileen Fitchett in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Benjamin (Ben) Fitchett who predeceased Muriel in January 2003 and predeceased by her first husband the late Murray Phillips who predeceased Muriel on April of 1968. Beloved mother to: Colleen (Randy) Fulton of North Gower, Mel (Debby) Phillips of Gravenhurst and Glen (Marie) Phillips of St. Thomas. Muriel will be remembered by Linda (Glen) Barnes of Gravenhurst and Dianne (late Ken) Fitchett of Gravenhurst. Beloved sister to Mel Barnes of Peterborough and Marlene Barnes of London. Muriel is predeceased by her siblings; Gerry Barnes, Bernice Larocque, Eve Forbes, Les Barnes, Shirley Dean, Gwen Long and Lorraine Barnes. Loving grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Muriel is predeceased by her grandson Greg Large. The family will receive friends at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, Gravenhurst on Friday January 10, 2014 from 12 noon until time of service at 2:00 p. m. Cremation has taken place. In memory of Muriel donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
