Minnie Simmons

SIMMONS, Minnie, Martha (nee Goldthorpe) Peacefully at her home at Leisureworld Muskoka in Gravenhurst on Saturday, January 19, 2013 surrounded by love. Minnie Martha Simmons in her 91st. year. Beloved wife of the late Carleton Oscar (Carl) Simmons who predeceased Minnie on May 25, 1994. Beloved mother to Louise (Jim) Harcourt of London, Ontario., Jody Simmons of Vancouver, Jane (late Walter) Partridge of Gravenhurst, Chris (late Barry) Thompson of Gravenhurst and Rev. Peter Simmons of Rosseau. Minnie was predeceased by her siblings; Joe Goldthorpe, Hazel Trounsell, Isabel Hind and George Goldthorpe. Minnie was the loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Much loved grandmother to Brett (Nadia) Thompson and Luke Thompson. In keeping with Mrs. Simmons wishes, cremation has taken place. There will not be services held at this time. In memory of Minnie Simmons, donations to the OSPCA Muskoka Branch, to St. James Anglican Church, Gravenhurst or to Leisureworld Muskoka Residents Council would be appreciated by the family.
