Mary Jane passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30th 2022, at the age of 60. Born in Chatham, Ontario, Mary Jane is predeceased by her parents Joe and Claudia (Mindorff) Haslam of Chatham and survived by her brother Frank (Cathy Tanner) Haslam of Gravenhurst, and her nephew Nicholas Haslam and nieces Serena and Claire Haslam, her Aunt Teresa (Haslam) Meloche and many Haslam and Mindorff cousins. Mary Jane had many different careers during her working years. She began a career with the Ministry of Corrections following graduation from Conestoga College in Kitchener. She also worked as a truck driver, taught at a truck driving school and for a short time drove a school bus. Mary Jane was most recently a resident of Muskoka Shores in Gravenhurst, Ontario, but spent many years in Amherstburg and Windsor, Ontario. Through her various health challenges over many years she always “loved life” and the people around who helped her. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Muskoka Shores for the great care and friendship they provided. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Agnes Church, Chatham, Ontario on Friday, July 15th at 11:00 am. Visitation will be one hour before at 10:00 am at St Agnes Church. Donations in Mary Jane's memory may be made to Muskoka Shores Care Community in Gravenhurst or to Advocates for Injured Workers.
