Marion Varty

VARTY, Marion Edna It is with great sadness that we had to say goodbye to our loving Mom, Gramma, and Great Gramma, Marion Varty, on Monday, October5th,2015 in her 93rd year. Marion was predeceased by her husbands: Lawrence Weatherall, Carl Lidsley, Murray Varty and by her son, Paul Laurie Weatherall. Mom was born in Toronto on July 28, 1923, where she resided until 1967. Then she moved to the Cottage in Muskoka, a place she truly called home and loved. She was able to reside in her beautiful home overlooking Lake Muskoka for 48 years. One of our fondest memories was her weather reports....YOU CAN'T SEE ACROSS THE LAKE. Marion will be greatly missed by her daughter Carolyne Dixon ( late Gordon), her son, Larry Weatherall and her daughters-in-law Carol and Donna Weatherall (late Paul). Her seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren have been left with many fond memories of Maimie (Grams) at "The Cottage". Mom was truly loved. Our family time at the Cottage for four generations, the picture albums, the videos and our loving family and friends, are memories that will be held dear and cherished always. If so desired, donations may be directed to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation in memory of Marion. Respecting Marion's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitations or services held. Arrangements entrusted to the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, Gravenhurst.
