Lorne Michael Jarick passed away peacefully at Andy’s House-Hospice Muskoka on Monday, December 30, 2024, in his 69th year.
Lorne is survived by siblings Connie Dingle, Chris Todd, Susan Jarick, and Allan Jarick (Jill Funel). He is also survived by his dear friend and companion, Donna Hessler. His memory will also be cherished by his cousin Larry Emes (Valerie), and many nieces and nephews, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Dave and Joseph Jarick.
Lorne was known for being the man who never hesitated to help people. He was very loyal, and always took the time to care for family, or anyone who needed it. He will also be remembered for being an avid fisherman and hunter, embracing his appreciation for the great outdoors of Muskoka. Anyone who knew Lorne knew he loved his beer. He would never say no to enjoying a beer or two with friends and family, creating cherished memories along the way. He also enjoyed travelling, most notably to California, where he got to experience life on the west coast. He lived a life full of great memories and experiences and has left a mark on those who knew him.
A Celebration of Life to honour a life well lived will take place at the Torrance Community Centre on Saturday, January 11, 2025, beginning at 11:00am. If desired, memorial donations made to Andy’s House – Hospice Muskoka would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged online, or through Cavill Funeral Home. An interment will take place in Spring 2025.
