Linda Sharen Wardhaugh

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Linda Sharen Wardhaugh on December 31, 2024, surrounded by family at Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling. 

Predeceased by her beloved husband Don Wardhaugh, as well as her parents, Leonia and Harold Barnes, and brother Kirk Barnes. Linda is survived by her siblings: Shirley Terry, Stuart Barnes (Linda), Leonard Barnes (Darlene), Hal Barnes, Jackie Erwin (Don), Sandra Hardill (Ken) Susan Burnett (Ron) and her sister-in-law Leslie Barnes. 

Linda was a loving sister, aunt and friend to many and an active and faithful member of the Gateway Worship Centre Apostolic Church in Gravenhurst. Linda was born in London, Ontario October 1, 1943, and spent her childhood in West Gravenhurst before embarking on a remarkable career in nursing. Linda’s nursing career took her overseas where she spent 40 years in the United Kingdom, dedicating her life to helping others and serving in the name of God. Though she did not have children, Linda found joy and companionship in her animals, whom she loved and treated as family. To honor Linda’s memory, a private celebration of life will be held by her family in the spring. 

Linda’s family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Andy’s House – Hospice Muskoka.
