Linda Florence Batten

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 at the age of 80. Her sharp sense of humour remained intact until the very end.

Beloved daughter of the late Margaret (Egley) and James Batten of Toronto, twin sister of the late Frederick, and sister of James (Anita). Dear aunt of John (Premlata), Margaret (Matthew), Elizabeth (Mark) and Patricia. Great-aunt to Lilian, Layla, Sophie, Benjamin, Marley and Christopher.

Linda worked as a graphic artist, preparing art for printing at York Litho in Toronto until her retirement. She then made Guelph home and continued to grow her creative talents through pastels, watercolours and woodwork. 

Linda was laid to rest with her parents at Mickle Memorial Cemetery in Gravenhurst at a private burial with immediate family, per her wishes. 

The family would like to thank the special people at Guelph General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph for caring for Linda in her final days. Donations to these organizations or to Guelph Humane Society are welcomed in her memory.
