Kathleen Patricia Baker (nee Blain)– Beloved wife of the late W. Bruce Baker (2022) peacefully passed away on March 20, 2024, in Gravenhurst, ON. Pat led a life filled with love, simplicity, and unwavering dedication to her family.
During her lifetime, Pat accomplished many feats she was proud of. Among them was meeting the love of her life in Barrie while working at West Bend Co. She selflessly devoted her early years to raising her children before eventually returning to work. Her legacy lives on through her children: Scott (Tracy), Trever (Debbie), Brent (Hope), Bradley (Jeannie); grandchildren: Daniel, Hannah, Geneva, and Athena; as well as her surviving siblings: Reg Blain (Patricia Ely), and Gail Gibbons, and sister-in-law Sue. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jim and Terry.
Pat's journey was adorned with various chapters, one of which saw her serving as a Bookkeeper at Gordon Motors in Bracebridge for approximately a decade. Her commitment and precision in her work endeared her to many during her time there.
Outside of work, Pat's persona was best described as very sweet; she possessed a gentle nature that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She found joy in the quiet moments, cherished the comfort of her home, and instilled invaluable values and morals in her children. Pat always emphasized the importance of understanding the value and cost of things, leaving a lasting impact on her family.
In addition to her professional endeavors and nurturing spirit, Pat had a passion for reading and baking that brought sweetness to those around her. Her fondness for cats added an extra layer of warmth to her already loving character.
