June Laura Losey

June Laura Losey (Schell) passed away peacefully at Muskoka Shores Care Community in Gravenhurst on January 31, 2024, at the age of 80. June was predeceased by her beloved long-time partner Robert St. Amand. 

Loving mother of Tony Schell (Cindy), and Laurie Scott (Robert). Cherished grandmother of her four grandchildren Ryan, Nicole, Ashley, and Erin. June also had the honour of being a great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. 

June was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Dorothy Losey (Von Alma), and her siblings Margorie, Marie, Lawrence, and Bruce. 

June was born in Toronto but grew up in Muskoka, where her family moved when she was four years old. She was fortunate to enjoy a quiet retirement in Muskoka with Bob. They had a deep love for animals, and always had a cat and a dog or two. June enjoyed various hobbies throughout her life, but she especially enjoyed spending time outdoors and taking a walk with her dogs.

Cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will take place in the spring at Mickle Memorial Cemetery in Gravenhurst, where June will be laid to rest with Bob. 

The family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Krensky and the staff at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, as well as Dr. Sacksen and the staff at Muskoka Shores for their care and support to June. Donations in June’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
