We will continue to honour Jim with an evening of great music, special memories, delicious food, a bonfire on the beach and fireworks at dusk!
James (Jim) Brian Currie of Bala, Ontario passed away at 3:47pm on January 26, 2022 at the age of 72. Jim, alert and of sound mind, passed joyfully, peacefully and in good spirits surrounded by close family at his daughter and son-in-laws farmhouse. In a style we all love Jim for it included lobster and a bottle of Dom Perigon, laughs and fond memories as he said his loving farewell. Jim was born to parents Roy and Ruth Currie on July 26, 1949. Predeceased by his beloved wife whom he was anxious to reunite with, Kerry Currie (2011). Jim will be loved and missed by his children Abbey Eagleson (Rob) and Dawson Currie (Alanna). Proud ‘Grumps’ to Adalyn, Eden, Paisley and James. Caring brother to Lynne Currie (Reg) and Bryden Currie (Carmela) and uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews. Jim was a man who loved his family and loved Muskoka. Loved fishing, boating and time well spent with good friends. Jim thrived as an entrepreneur until his final days, always available to help when needed. We will be hosting a celebration of life on the Moon River on July 23, 2022. As a family we wish to express our thanks and gratitude to the North Simcoe Muskoka Palliative Care Network whose support was tremendous. We look forward to raising a toast with an evening of great music, family, and friends in honor of Jim Currie this summer.
