Holmes, Harley Sydney 1922-2016 Peacefully at his home in Gravenhurst surrounded by the love of his family Harley passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in his 95th year. Beloved husband to Theresa Holmes (nee Chaput) of Gravenhurst. Loving father to Juanita Paltridge (David) of Gravenhurst, Beatrice Thrush (late Ronald) of Gravenhurst, Ruth Shelswell (Brad) of Orillia, Reginald Holmes (Marie) of Kahshe Lake and Barbara Caissie (Ivan) of Goderich. Harley is survived by his siblings: Harry Holmes of Bracebridge, Evelyn Beiers, Florence Reed and Madeline Robinson all of Gravenhurst. Much loved grandfather of 8 grandchildren, great grandfather of 14 great grandchildren and great great grandfather of 5. Harley was predeceased by his infant great granddaughter Jaiden. The family will receive friends at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home in Gravenhurst on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p. m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Spring interment will take place at Mickle Memorial Cemetery in the Spring of 2017.
