With heavy hearts we are very sad to announce the passing of Gary Glenn Campbell peacefully, on April 1, 2022, at Bracebridge Hospital with his family by his side. Gary was born in Milford Bay, Ontario. Loving husband of Shirley for 64 years. Loving father of Gary Michael, and Glen Gordon (Colleen). Adored grandfather of Sydney, Emerson, Hayden, and Hudson. Predeceased by his parents Peter B. and Marjorie L. Campbell and his siblings Peter (Olga), Dan, Raymond, Marjorie (Harley), and Pansy (Roland). Survived by sisters-in-law Naida Campbell, Bev Curtis, and brother-in-law David Curtis (Rilla). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A true pioneer in the marine world and the leader of Campbell’s Landing Marina. Member of the OMOA and Boating Ontario for many years. He had an uncompromised love of his family, enjoying summers with Shirley at the Island. His favourite pastimes were watching hockey, curling, trapping, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling with his great friends Bruce and Jean, and spending time with his family. Gary was always quick to help lend a hand or solve a problem.  His quick wit, dry sense of humor and kind words will be truly missed and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Cavill Funeral Home, 215 Bay Street, Gravenhurst, on Wednesday, April 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.

The funeral service will be conducted at Trinity United Church on Thursday, April 14th at 11 am . Interment at Mickle Cemetery in the spring. Memorial contributions to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Trinity United Church, Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice greatly appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
