PAULLETTE, Douglas Edwin – Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2020 in Bracebridge, ON, at the age of 62. Beloved father of Amee Paullette, and Eric Paullette. Cherished grandfather of Cole Paullette. Douglas was also survived by his Aunt Gwen and Uncle Howard Dewar, several cousins, and the mother of their children, Marilyn Paullette.
Doug grew up in Windemere, spending most of his life in Muskoka. His parents Kathleen and Ed owned and ran the grocery store and post office. He loved and was proud of his skills as a drywaller. He spent most of his time in Gravenhurst with his family and friends. Doug would do anything for a friend or his kids. His children Amee and Eric will miss him terribly. He had a huge heart and was very fond of his pets. Doug loved music and would play it as loud as possible. He lived life his way and could be very stubborn at times. In his spare time, Doug liked to build model cars, smoke marijuana and was known to enjoy an occasional beer or two. He was a fun person to be around and will be missed greatly by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Cremation has taken place and a burial of ashes will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated and may be arranged through Cavill Funeral Home.
Life Well Lived
A life well lived is a precious gift
Of hope and strength and grace,
From someone who has made our world
A brighter, better place
It’s filled with moments, sweet and sad
With smiles and sometimes tears,
With friendships formed and good times shared
And laughter through the years.
A life well lived is a legacy
Of joy and pride and pleasure,
A living, lasting memory
Our grateful hearts will treasure
