Dorothy "Velma" Walker

Dorothy "Velma" Walker, peacefully departed from this earthly realm and embraced the loving arms of her Saviour on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. She passed away serenely in her home in Gravenhurst in 99th year.

Velma was the cherished wife of the late Leslie Arthur Walker. She was the loving mother of Elaine Davidson (Bob) and Carol Walker. Velma will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Leslie, Jill, and Rob, six great-grandchildren; niece Phylis;  relatives Judy (Al), as well as her friends Glenda and Carlo. She was preceded in death by her sons Reginald, Barry, and Chris; her parents Hugh and Genevieve Simpson, as well as her siblings Margaret, Clarice, Morris, Joyce, Eunice, and Bernice.

Velma was a remarkable individual with a unique essence. Her life epitomized gratitude, love, compassion, and service towards others. Known for meeting people exactly where they were at in life, Velma touched numerous hearts with her kindness.

A woman of unwavering faith, Velma's resilience and inner strength stemmed from her profound connection with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, whom she adored and relied upon unconditionally.

The memory of Velma will forever endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. As we bid her farewell for now, may she rest in peace until we reunite again. We cherish you always, Mom.
