Dorothy Griffin

Dorothy Griffin (nee Grimes) Died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the age of 67. Loving mother of Norma and Murray Bush of Gravenhurst, Bonnie and Ron Foster of Trout Creek, Jean Balog of Hamilton and Delmer Alexander of Gravenhurst. Grandmother of James, Jessie, Stephanie, Ryan, Alisha, Abigail, Diamond and Angel. Beloved sister of Ruth Niedzwiecki, Pat Hoffman, Shirley Stevenson, Mazie Berdan, and neice, "sister" and best friend to Viola Stewart. Predeceased by her brother Ray Grimes and by her sister Jean Hewitt. In keeping with Dorothy's request, cremation has taken place and there will not be any services held. Interment of cremated remains will take place at the Mickle Memorial Cemetery in Gravenhurst, where she will be laid to rest with the love of her life, her late husband, Delmer Alexander. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Society or the Alzheimer's Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home in Gravenhurst.
