BRETTELL, Dorothy Ella Elizabath (nee Fitchett) Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Gravenhurst Manor in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Norman Brettell. Loving mother of Norma (Bill), Barbara (Steve), Carolyn (Gary), Sandra (George) and Betty (Dean). Cherished grandmother of Chris(Melanie), Kim (Craig), Jeffrey (Jen), James (Karen), Greg, Steven (Rebecca), Keziah (Andrew), Curtis (Monica), William (Stephanie) and Dayna (Jesse). Great-grandmother of Bennett, Jocelyn, Findlay, Kari and Brodie. Dorothy is predeceased by her daughter Dianna, by her parents James and Maud Fitchett and by her siblings Archie, Orville, Allen and June. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Cavill-Turner Funeral Home in Gravenhurst. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Ryde Centennial Free Methodist Church in Housey''s Rapids. Burial to follow at Barkway Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Ryde Centennial Free Methodist Church.
