Dap Thach

THACH, Dap Huu – Passed away at home with family at his side, on Monday, March 15, 2021. He was in his 48th year. Dearly loved and sadly missed by his wife Dianne and his daughter Sophie. Dap was the loved son of Bo Thach and Ha Chu. Dear brother of late Duc (Noelle), and uncle of Maple. He will also be missed by Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Harvey Bradley.

Dap will always be remembered for his friendly personality, strong work ethic, kindness, and humour. After graduating from Ryerson University, Dap began his accounting career at a firm in Bracebridge, ON and later started his own firm, DTA Accountants and Business Advisors, in Gravenhurst. If Dap wasn’t in his office, he was probably at the rink. His love for hockey resulted in years of volunteering with various female hockey organizations, including six seasons with the Barrie Jr. Sharks. In the summer he would assemble his own team, Muskoka Mavericks, and travel to various tournaments in Ontario and US. He also started Northern Performance Hockey Academy and enjoyed his time instructing youth on the ice. He was Dianne’s best friend and travelling partner, and Sophie’s noodle chef. Due to the new COVID-19 Restrictions, all visitations have been cancelled.

A private graveside service will be held at Mickle Memorial Cemetery.
