Carl Herbert Goodman

Carl passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, after a short battle with pneumonia. He was born June 2, 1939, in Bracebridge, ON, and was one of eight children.

Carl loved two things in life, his family and spending time in the great outdoors. He was a loving husband to the late Heather Goodman nee Waters for 53 years. A wonderful and fun father to Christine Osborne, Monda Goodman, and the late Kathy Oakley. His fun-loving approach to life continued on, and he shared many adventures and laughs with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his youngest sister, Shirley Willett. Carl loved his siblings, and they shared many special moments together. 

Carl was a true Muskokan and a kid at heart. He enjoyed camping, bonfires, stargazing, tobogganing, and snowshoeing. He was at peace outdoors in nature.  He often amused himself by playing pranks and starting water fights with his children, grandchildren, friends, and the occasional passerbyer. 

In life, he was a true family man, caretaker, and natural storyteller. He enjoyed entertaining those around him by recounting the funny moments from his life, often at his own expense. 

Though Carl is no longer physically here, his memory will continue to bring a smile to our faces. Shed no tears as he is finally at rest and reunited with loved ones lost.
