GLENDINNING, Brenda Anita (nee Boyd) - Passed away peacefully at Granite Ridge Retirement Residence on Monday, September 12, 2022. She was in her 85th year.

Brenda was the beloved wife and best friend of John M Glendinning “Jack”, her high school sweetheart and marriage partner for 60 years.

Beloved and adored mother of the late John C “Johnnie” Glendinning (2014). Dear sister to the late Larry (Nancy) Boyd.

Brenda also leaves behind her nephews Steve Boyd (Beth), Glen Boyd (Alison), her niece Stephanie Boyd (Stephanie MacLellan), her grandnephews Jamie and Trystin Boyd and her grand nieces Brittany and Makayla Boyd.

Brenda was a dedicated environmentalist.  Every neighbourhood she lived in, Toronto,  London, and Muskoka saw the benefits of her tree planting.

Brenda was born and educated in Muskoka and “cottaged” on Kahshe Lake and Lake Rosseau.  She also had ties to Hutchison Island (near Stuart Florida) where she vacationed with her family.

Brenda and John’s commitment to sharing their son’s long battle with an illness that eventually took him home deeply affected them both.  Her son’s passing may have affected Brenda physically, but her enduring faith in Jesus and God carried her through.  Together again.

Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will be held.

Donations gratefully accepted to the SPCA.

The family wished to express a special thank you the staff at Granite Ridge for the wonderful care received by Brenda and Jack.
