Beverly Thrift

Passed away peacefully on November 23, 2019, at the age of 89. Beverly was born to the late George Barnes and late Jean Scott on May 29, 1930.

Beverly was proud of her Muskoka heritage, and had fond memories of skating at her grandfather Scott's arena and spending time at his boathouse on Gull Lake.

As a young woman, she worked at the Rubberset Factory and Muskoka Restaurant. Upon meeting her husband James Thrift (predeceased 1992), she became a homemaker and together they raised 4 children.

Beverly was the beloved mother of 4 children, Linda Munshaw, Bonnie Schuh (Bert), Sherry Laskey (Rob), and Jamie Thrift.

Cherished grandmother of Raymond Leech (Holly), Gretchen Beebe (Wade), Jessica Hume (Peter), Katie Munshaw (Rob), Jamie Davidson, William Davidson, Mikaila Davidson, Eugene Schuh, Armand Schuh, Amanda Laskey (Mike), Chris Laskey (Mandy). Great grandmother of Taylor Hume, Kayden Beebe, Evan Leech, Sophie Leech, Vann Laskey, Peyton Laskey and Korben Munshaw-Forget.

Loved sister of Alan Moffat (Belki), Carol Lavin (Fred), Susie Forgrave (Eric), Chickie Potter (Greg), and Leslie Barnes- Makrynoirs (Vaguelis). Guardian and pet parent to Daisy (her beloved boston terrier).

Beverly shared her love of animals, country music, and family with us.

A Celebration of Beverly's life will take place in the spring.
