STIRRETT, Barbara Elizabeth

The family of Barbara Stirrett, (nee Hemmings), is profoundly saddened to announce her passing on Thursday, November 25 at Barrie Manor, age 75.  Born January 25, 1946, Barbara Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Cyril Hemmings (d.1985) and Elizabeth Hemmings (d.1999).

Barbara was the adored wife of Edward Stirrett (d.2010).  Loving and devoted mother to Jennifer (Bobby) of Orillia, Trish (Jeff) of Brockville, Scott (Lyn) of Orillia, and Philip Turner (Lyndsey) of Burk’s Falls.  Caring and supportive step-mother to Robert Stirrett of Brampton, and Christine Keller of Anola, Manitoba. Predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Hemmings (d.2019).

Cherished grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 16.

Affectionately and forever remembered by Kenneth Turner and Audrey Turner.

Barb was the proud parent of loyal fur baby, Lacey, the apple of her mother’s eye.

Barbara was an extremely thoughtful, compassionate, genuine, loving person, beautiful from the inside out.  Loved by all who knew her.

Stewey, Mom, Grandma, Barb, Barbie, Bill or Mumsy, whichever title she was bestowed, brought great happiness to those of us who were so incredibly blessed to have her in our lives.  Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association greatly appreciated.
