SHELLY, Mary " Aileen" Dear wife, sweetheart, best friend and companion to Frank Shelly for more than 74 years. Mary Aileen slipped peacefully from this life with her loving family at her side on Sunday January 27, 2013 in her 96th year. Aileen's family will mourn their loss with unwavering love and support from each other, Helen Waters, Junior, Eleanor (Sid) Cross, Ritchie (Alice), and daughter-in-law Pat Shelly along with her 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and her 8 great great grandchildren, and by her brother Rodney (Linda) Norris. Aileen was predeceased by her children; Diane, Lorraine Syvret, George Shelly and by her son-in-law Marvin Waters and by her daughter-in-law Judy Montgomery and by her siblings; Margaret Marks, George, Everett, Murray, Stuart, Gilbert and Willis Norris. Aileen's younger years were spent enjoying her time with her family, skiing and gardening. She entered the workforce for twenty years as a nurses aid and was employed at the Bracebridge Hospital and at The Pines Long Term Care Facility. After her working years, Aileen enjoyed traveling with her dear friend Blanch Currie. Aileen then had the time to concentrate on her wonderful flower gardens. The family will receive friends at the New Hope Free Methodist Church, 17 Queen Street, Bracebridge, Ont., on Saturday February 2, 2013 from 12 noon until 1:00 p. m. A Service to celebrate the life of Aileen Shelly will be held at the church at 1:00 p. m. with a luncheon reception to follow. The family has respectively declined flowers, but would appreciate donations to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation or to New Hope Free Methodist Church.
