Agnes "Nancy" Peters

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Matriarch Agnes {Nancy} Elizabeth Peters [nee Little} on October 26, 2022 at the wise age of 92.

Nancy was born on December 14, 1929 in Maybrook, Ontario. She spoke fondly of her days growing up on the farm with her 5 siblings.

Nancy’s striking, beauty caught the eye of local musician and farmer Roy Peters. Nancy and Roy married on June 11th, 1947, raising 5 beautiful children on Norhurst Farm. Nancy’s life and love revolved around family, her sisters, brothers and the extreme joy and pride her children and their families brought her was palpable. She was a phenomenal pie baker and always made each of her family members their favourite dishes on holidays or visits, showing her Scottish love through food.

Easy to appease, Nancy moved to Gravenhurst where her daughters Margie {and Neil} and Dianne {and Bernie predeceased} took great daily care of her, after Roy passed away. Weekly phone calls and visits from her sons were greatly anticipated. Nancy lived a simple life, always had a positive outlook and a kind word for her family. Nancy was thee most generous Mother and Grandma opening up her heart, home or candy stash to all.

Nancy will be greatly missed by; her beloved children John (Diane), Margie (Neil), Dianne, Kim (Stephie), Paul (Madeleine).

Sherri-Lynn

Her memory will be forever cherished by her grandchildren Angie, Jeff, Sherri Lynn, Cherie, Sean, Karlie, Jordan, Hali, Tom, Melissa, Stacey, Cynthia and families. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-laws Babe and Marilyn Little and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents Jessie and Alex Little, her loving husband Roy, brothers Alec, Jimmy, and Bob, sisters Mary and Ruth, brother in-law Arnold Peters and dear friends Cecile and Glen Walton.

The family is grateful for all the compassion and care given to Nancy these last years, especially by Colleen, Theresa, Sonja, and her medical team.

A private family graveside will be held in June 2023 in New Liskeard, ON.
