Condolences

Condolence From: Hannah Lin
Condolence: What sad news to hear that Margaret has passed - she gave so much love, kindness and she was a bright spark to the women's community in Muskoka. On behalf of staff and volunteers at YWCA Muskoka, we will miss her very much. I'm grateful for the times I spent with her. She will be missed.

Condolence From: Sheila Russell
Condolence: My condolences to the Johnston family and her special friend, Annette. I had the honour of meeting Margaret in July at Barb Leek's BD celebration. I was so impressed with Margaret's gracious and embracing demeanor. She lit up the gathering with her laughter and smiles. Bala lost a strong, caring and kind woman who was there for so many people. She was so fortunate to have her best friend, Annette. May you all cherish the wonderful times you had with Margaret. God Bless.

Condolence From: Diane Mashia
Condolence: I am terribly sorry for your loss. It is always hard to lose a loved one, especially so suddenly and unexpectedly. I knew Margaret from theatre Festivals in New York and Pennsylvania, where she would attend with Annette. She was always a delight, wishing everyone "break a leg" with their performances, and graciously and sincerely congratulating the winners and other recognized performances. We could always count on her smile and her warm heart. My deepest sympathies to you all - you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence From: Rosalie Goos
Condolence: My heartfelt sympathy to Margaret's family and friends.
It is with fondness and appreciation that I recall memories of Margaret's kind hospitality when committees met at her home. It is with a thankful heart that I was nurtured and inspired by Margaret's spiritual perspectives in our bible study group. It is with admiration that I count Margaret as a friend and one of those unique individuals with whom I've shared a portion of life's journey.

Condolence From: Jill reeves-Bos
Condolence: I'm very sorry to hear of Margarets passing. I first had the privilege of meeting with her in 1985 discussing what women needed to thrive in Miskoka, then worked along side of her at Muskoka Interval House,. But her greatest gift was as Rev. MARGARET when she was at my mothers bedside in palliative care we all appreciated her support and wisdom and gentle way.

Condolence From: Hedy
Condolence: Oh how I wish I could be with ALL of you now. Crossing paths with Margaret remains one of life's greatest gifts. During our (too few) telephone conversations over the many years, our rich exchange of stories re: books/travels/church - always included a detailed, loving commentary about her family. My gratitude will forever remain immense for the wise mentor she was to me. Margaret's spirit was immeasurable and contagious! My dearest Steve, Russ, Mont, your families and Annette, my love, thoughts & prayers are with you. May the companionship and loving presence of God be with you today and always!
