Condolences

Condolence From: Brad & Chris Burgess
Condolence: We will so miss John the Sailor, John the Curler, John the Musician, John the Advisor, and most importantly John the Gentleman. We are richer today for having known John on the curling ice, sailing on the water or hosting an event at his cottage. In later years we enjoyed our talks at the Manor where he was truly the most sought after gentleman in the place. John lived his life with a true "joie de vivre". Our sincerest condolences to all of John's Family.

Condolence From: Ron Kilbourne
Condolence: To the Ayling Family
I am so very sorry to hear about John's passing.
I'm sure everyone would agree that John had a very long and very full life. I curled with and against John for almost 30 years and he was always so friendly and helpful.
My wife Kathy loved him dearly-she taught him to play his tuba
in the bifocals band.
She always held him up as a model of how much one can get out of life if you just stay active.
May he rest in peace.
Ron Kilbourne

Condolence From: John McMechan, Jane Templeton
Condolence: John was a great mentor to me and my Father, Colin McMechan, when we first started sailing on Dudley Bay, back in the 60's.
He always had a sailing story and there was great camaraderie at the end of races, weather you were in first or last place.
Cheers to a life well lived, John. You will be missed.

Condolence From: Jim & Barb Thomas
Condolence: John was one of a very rare species. He was a true gentleman in all respects. He made a friend of all who met him. He was generous with his time and in sharing his knowledge of sailing and also his obvious love of life. As with all who knew him - we will miss him. Our sincerest condolences to all his extended family. Jim and Barb

Condolence: Our condolences to John's Family and friends. Being a main street merchant we certainly appreciated seeing John on many occasions, both as a customer, or just stopping in. John contributed something wherever he went. Gravenhurst was lucky he moved here in 1989 and lived a long life!

Condolence From: Gord Cleveland and Sue Colley
Condolence: John will always be a sailor to us....a superb sailor...among the best of the best. He helped us choose our first sailboat...an Albacore, of course. And he was so willing to give of his time and advice and friendship. It was always the best of times when John was there to greet you at the end of a race or at his dock. We will miss John terribly...for us, he represented everything that is good about Muskoka. Our sincere condolences to all John's family...he leaves a huge hole, but that is the mark of a life well lived. Gord and Sue
